Kareem Williams is a prime example of what can happen when opportunity allots you a second chance at life.

A powerful, uplifting motivational speaker and author, Kareem was just another kid from North Philadelphia who traveled along the wrong path at a young age. After being involved in a gun related incident that almost took the life of his relative, Kareem’s second chance came from a juvenile placement facility (The Glen Mills Schools).

The opportunities presented to him at this pivotal young age would open doors for Kareem to attend Cheyney University, and graduate with his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He later obtained his M.B.A. in Finance from Strayer University. Kareem is the epitome of redemption and perseverance.

Kareem’s message of redefining yourself based on who you are-not what you’ve done- resonates with audiences of all ages. His mantra, “Positive Vibes Only” encourages others to reassess their outlooks, stay motivated, and think positive.  Kareem has spoken to a multitude of communities and schools in the United States, as well as Europe. His most recent opportunity abroad involved speaking at a high school in Madrid, Spain. Although he takes pride in all his speaking engagements, he is most proud of his opportunities to speak to the young men at the same juvenile placement facility he once attended (Glen Mills). He aims to prove that it’s not “where you come from that matters, but where you’re going.”
Kareem recently published his first book entitled Step Aside: A Simple and Effective Guide for Helping You Get Out of Your Own Way.

Kareem currently resides in Wilmington, Delaware where he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and fishing.
